lyrics

Whispered into the night; brood, then it grew in sight. The dark carried over, the forecast grew colder, we've all heard and seen this before. Get that kid off the lawn, this trouble awaits us at dawn. Water will break pouring out of the wall, hope this won't sink us all.
A bucket full of water and a frog in the gutter, you know it's late in August. Heard the alley flooded badly and the river swallowed Sally, couldn't break the darkness. If it's only for a moment then I'll get caught up in something, something I have never seen, something scary in the moment. While the wind cries crazy and we're wondering the same thing, when the storm is going to break.
It might flood inside this room; some buckets and ice for food. We're up in the attic, the trees hover madly; prayed fate would save us all. Get that kid off the lawn, soon this will all be gone. Water will break pouring out of the wall, hope it won't sink us all.
It's not our end.
